Click Through Credits and Affiliate Programs

Click through credits and affiliate programs

Do you ever have one of those moments when you are just sitting watching Television and all of a sudden an idea or something you have been learning makes sense and strikes you like a bolt of lightning.  Well I have.

I have been learning a lot recently about social media and affiliate marketing.  I was watching television, and all of a sudden I said to myself   “It now all makes sense”.

While I was watching television, I realised that the actual television show is another form of a “Sticky Site”.  A sticky site is what attracts you to a particular website.  For example Google has a sticky site which is information for free.  The television show is either a daily or weekly program which you then go back to watch on a regular basis.

The advertisements on the television are similar to the affiliate program offered by the computer world.  To help you understand this, the television is free to watch and the television station charges the advertiser to place their advertisements.

The advertisements on the television are very similar to the click through credits or the affiliate program.  Just like Google, it is free to search or view their website.  They make their money through click through fees.

The televisions show purpose is so that people watching the program will be influenced into shopping with the advertiser who pays for the advertisement space in the show.

Affiliate programs work the same way.  You may view a website such as http://www.lesprosser.com which is free for you to view in other words the sticky site.  On my website in the right hand column I have placed advertisements.  By clicking on the advertisement and signing up or joining the programs I am paid a fee for advertising.

Within Social Media, we are entering the “Recommendation Age“.  There is a lot of free information; sometimes you are just given enough information to want to learn more.  To learn more you click on the link, fill in your details, pay the money to get more detailed information.  If you have been recommended this training by someone else and have used their link, then that person will have been paid through an affiliate program.

The beauty of this system is that you don’t have to be there to get paid.  I have often thought to myself, “How do I get a $1.00 from thousands of people without actually have to do all the work”.  An affiliate program is just one option.  While you are sleeping someone may click on the link, sign up and pay for the information.  You can make money online with affiliate program marketing or be involved in a business that pays with click through credits.
