1. Understanding the horse in your life
Life has its twists and turns and to help you understand why sometimes our goals seem so difficult to achieve I want to share this information.
Each of us has a sub conscious mind and the role of the sub conscious mind is to maintain our sanity.
To help each of us understand the subconscious mind, I will change the terminology “sub conscious “to that of a “horse”.

When we understand the horse in our life, life is so much easier to understand
If you have every experienced horse riding or riding schools, the horse is always looking for the easiest way home and the horse always wants and will fight to remain on the beaten track.
When you endeavor to take your horse off the beaten track, the horse can get to the stage of walking sideways to maintain the track, even to the extent of pig rooting, stamping his hoofs, biting the bit, dragging you sideways, trying to walk under low branches to dislodge the rider.
The horse can be stubborn at times.
The horse will always know the most direct line for home and knows where the gates are, even though the horse cannot see the gate.
Time has exposed us to various goals and dreams and some of us get so excited and after 2, 3 or how many days, the horse will take over and bring you back to what the horse calls sanity.
The horse lives in the present tense with no concern about your future.
Your horse wants to maintain your sanity.
Another factor in life is our “Low Frustration Tolerance”.
This was created over time, and we can probably consider our parents to be the creator of this.
When we were kids, the cry would go up. Mum… I WANT THAT and Mum or Dad would say “NO”.
Maybe later or something else , then as kids we increased the tempo and move to the next level I NEED THAT, thus creating in our mind the low frustration threshold , we learnt we could get instant gratification by demanding which then trained the horse.
We saw a future and got involved in what I consider is the most exciting business opportunity I have every experienced and I face my struggles on a daily basis with my horse and no doubt we all face our struggles with our own horse .
As I know each and everyone of us does.
We all have to drag our horse from the beaten track, maybe with the bit biting into his lip, walking sideways, pig rooting, stamping feet etc and in real frustration the horse will try to dislodge you, by rearing up or rolling over.
It takes a focus and determination not to let the horse dislodge your goals and dreams.
Guys take charge of your horse and you can each change your world.
This is a great team effort and together the team will succeed.

How true this is. Thanks for putting your thoughts down here Les. This is now helping me to understand, you need to do what others are not prepared to do, go the extra mile. If we continue to remember this day by day I believe we will be able to execute our goals in record time. Thanks again Chris Betts
